Review
Who doesn’t know Conor Oberst’s Bright Eyes. Cassadaga is the 11the album of Bright Eyes. I hear a lot of good about this album, but I’m not really that positive about it. I deleted the intro song out of pure irritation. Furthermore this album contains a lot of mediocre songs with over-political lyrics and weak melodies. The arrangements are sometimes too much (I do like it simple and easy). But there are also some good things to say about Cassadaga: some nice songs like ‘Lime Tree’ where Conor’s well known voice takes you for a walk along the path of loneliness. I love the subtle, lovely songs he (used to) make(s) (I’m Wide Awake,It’s Morning !!). But this is just my opinion … so get your own opinion Have fun with the album!
Sidenote: for the people living in/around Benelux, be sure you don’t miss them live!
My favorite song: 10. No One Would Riot For Less, 13. Lime Tree
