Fionn Regan’s debut album ‘The End Of History’ is one of this year’s nominees for the Mercury Prize, the grammy’s of UK music. The first artists Fionn Regan immediately reminds me of are (the dark edge of) Elliott Smith, (the melodies of) Nick Drake, José Gonzalez and (especially the voice of) Damien Rice. If you don’t like these artists, don’t bother reading on. So Fionn Regan brings you acoustic singer-songwriter-stuff: only his clear voice, his acoustic guitar and mostly dark lyrics. Keywords for this album would be pure, subtle, bittersweet, delicate, intimate, dark and of course mellow. If that’s what you’re looking for, have fun with the album
